OEDA is governed by the Board of Directors and the Executive Board, comprising individuals from diverse backgrounds who work hand in hand to achieve our main goals. Our governance and management structures ensure effective decision-making, strategic planning, and oversight of our operations.

The Board of Directors

The Board of Directors plays a pivotal role in guiding OEDA's strategic direction and ensuring the organization's adherence to its mission and values. Comprised of three elected members chosen democratically by the General Assembly, the Board approves major decisions, policies, and programs. The chairman of the Board chairs its sessions and oversees OEDA's activities. The Board of Directors is responsible for appointing the Executive Director and providing oversight of the organization's activities and finances.

OEDA boasts an executive board, management team, and a group of researchers, consultants and project management professionals who collectively possess extensive knowledge and practical experience in various fields, amassing decades of expertise. From program/project management experts to public policy specialists, economists, statisticians, education professionals, researchers, data management specialist, environmentalists and former senior public sector leaders, our team brings a diverse range of skills and experiences to our work. With a deep understanding of Afghanistan's socio-economic context and stakeholder landscape, the leadership team is well-equipped to navigate the complexities of humanitarian aid and development work in the country. Executive and Management Team

The Executive and Management Team of OEDA possess extensive knowledge and practical experience spanning various fields, amounting to decades of expertise. United by a shared belief in our collective ability to effect meaningful change, We are deeply committed to playing an active role in the reconstruction and rebuilding of Afghanistan. Our team embodies a diverse range of values, characteristics, and expertise, capitalizing on individual strengths within a collaborative setting. With over 20 years of combined experience, wealth of insight and capability, the executive team is chaired by the Executive Director. The Executive team leads OEDA's daily operations, strategizes and executes programs, and implements the organization's Strategic Plan. The executive team ensures effective leadership and management while reporting regularly to the Board of Directors on organizational progress and pertinent matters affecting OEDA's mission and objectives.
